Before you read , you should look over the text quickly without actually reading every word . Get some basic information by looking over the t quickly . For example , if there are titles ( or subtitles , how many paragraphs there are . While you ' re reading , try to get the main ideas and key information instead of what each word exactly means . And try to understand the writer between the lines . After you read , ask yourself some questi like these : What is the text AB0ut ? What are the most important things that happened in the text ? What have I leamned from it ? In this way , you can your comprehension of what you have read .
